The Hidden Side
Wow! Hello world! Wow! My first time blogging! So, who is Sharon Tazewell? There’s so much to tell…but let’s start with my day job…I mean morning job. I anchor NBC17 Today and honestly I feel like one of the luckiest people in the world to be an anchor/reporter. Sure, waking up in the wee hours of the morning can be EXTREMELY tough…(especially when it’s cold outside)…but I love what I do and I love working with my co-anchors. I almost feel guilty having so much fun and getting paid for it.
So, WHO ARE WE? Sure, when you turn on the TV in the morning you see us joking here and there, but because we only have 2 hours and a lot to tell you, we generally have to stick to the scripts. Occasionally you’ll see our personalities shine through…but that’s just a glimpse. So, I came up with the idea to share some of our “BEHIND THE SCENES” quirky ways with you. Oh, the things we say and do during commercial breaks and even during the newscast will amuse you! We do everything from trying to master the moonwalk to talking about what’s for lunch at 7 a.m. Yes, lunch at 7 a.m. Remember, we wake up at 2 a.m. so after anchoring the morning show, we’ve worked up quite an appetite. HMMMM….this could get interesting. This is going to be fun! Welcome to our world….the NBC17 TODAY WORLD!
